Any book in print may be returned without permission, freight prepaid, in saleable condition with proper documentation (see definitions listed below) after 120 days from invoice date and within one year for full credit. Returns received after one year from invoice date or without proper documentation will be credited at a 50% discount. __When we receive returns containing 5 or more unacceptable items we will fax you a notification form. You will have 15 days from the fax date to claim the books or authorize us to destroy them. After 15 days if we have not heard from you the merchandise will be destroyed and no credit issued.
DEFINITIONS:
IN PRINT means the edition in our current catalog.
SALEABLE CONDITION means a book the way you would wish to receive it.
FULL CREDIT means we will credit your account for the purchase price. The following documentation must accompany each return for full credit: invoice number, date, title, list price, discount, and your account number. WE DO NOT ISSUE CASH REFUNDS.
WITHOUT PERMISSION means just that: no permission is required.
AFTER 120 DAYS means that you must hold the books you ordered for at least that long. Please include a packing slip with every return shipment. Books not eligible for credit can be returned at your expense.
To avoid misunderstandings:
All prices and delivery dates are subject to change without notice We will backorder only new titles and those backlist books that we expect to have back in stock within 90 days. Credit for returns can be applied to your account balance or against future purchases. Please examine our invoices and shipments carefully and report any discrepancies within 30 days, (we get unreasonable after that). Shipments cannot be made to past due accounts.
